The Sherburne County Emergency Communications Team was established in the Elk River area in 1999 to assist the Elk River Police and Fire Departments and Great River Energy with emergency communications services. The members of SECT have been involved in several training sessions as well as providing Skywarn Spotters during severe weather in the area.

If you are a licensed amateur radio operator in the Greater Elk River area and want information on our group send me an email for information.

We meet for breakfast on the 3rd. Saturday each  month at Embers Restaurant in Otsego at 8:30am. You are welcome to join us.

Our weekly radio net takes place each Wednesday night at 8:00pm on the Elk River radio repeater, 146.970.
