Saturday Storm, June 5

I was watching this storm from the Elk River Hill tower site and on radar. It was North of Princeton moving East and I didn't think it would come South towards me. A little after 5:00PM it began to darken and started coming South towards Elk River. I drove North to Zimmerman and then East on Cnty Road 4 where I took the last 3 photos.

I headed back to Elk River about 6:00PM when it started raining in the Zimmerman area. As I turned South on Hwy 169 the rain started to really dump on me.  By the time I reached Cnty 77, about 2 miles North of Cnty 33, pea sized hail began and lasted for 3-4 minutes.

The temp was 79F when I drove North towards Zimmerman and the wind was still out of the South. An hour later it was 59F when I drove back toward Elk River.
